Power Consumption

The attachment below shows power consumption for an Optiplex 755 with a 256MB ATI Radeon Graphics card and a Samsung 226BW 22" monitor.  What I thought was interesting is that the: Stand by, Hibernate, and Off power states all consumed the same level of power.  Personally I would have thought that the power consumption in the Stand By state would have been higher than that of the Off or Hibernate state, but that was not the case.
For those of you that are interested, here is the difference between each state. 
In the Off state, the computer is plugged in, but has not been turned on or has been turned off. 
The standby state is used after the PC has been turned on and has been put into "stand by" by the user.  This keeps the users current configuration, open documents, browsers and other cached data, written in RAM.  When the user moves the mouse or keyboard, the computer is "woken up" and within a few seconds, resumes exactly where it was when it was logged off.  That is handy to resume working quickly, BUT, because the data is written to RAM, in the event of a power outage, the data would be lost.
The Hibernate state is also used after the PC has been turned on and has been put into "Hibernate" by the user.  This state writes the current configuration to a file on the hard drive and "shuts down" the PC essentially.  The user can NOT use the mouse or keyboard to wake up the system and must use the power button.  BUT, in the event of power loss to the system, your current configuration/data is not lost.
